HORIZONTAL SOCIETY : We all have righteousness

“We All Have Righteousness”. According to Prof. Hwang Hyunsan, Korean is built under the foundation of horizontal spirit with a national characteristic of never conforming to what is considered unjust. Although the repression in the past has saturated the whole country with blood, freedom and justice have been preserved through ceaseless voluntary sacrifice. Such courage is evident in the invasion of foreign powers, during the Japanese colonial period, and in the modern democratic uprising and the recent candle-lit protests. Our own ‘horizontal society’, built up with the noble spirit of the righteous army, became the conceptual foundation for creating the process of retrieving ‘righteousness’ in a horizontal space.
